About
Red Five Entertainment was founded by filmmakers Clint Hutchison and Lance Dreesen after establishing themselves as successful screenwriters in Hollywood, with a shared goal of creating films with greater creative freedom—stories they believed in, made on their own terms.
Red Five partners with studios, distributors, and major platforms while also leveraging private equity financing to develop and produce projects outside the traditional system. This hybrid approach allows the company to maintain creative control while working with industry partners including Universal, Lionsgate, Paramount and 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment.
The company's first feature, Full Disclosure (formerly Terror Tract), starring Bryan Cranston and John Ritter, was released by Universal and became a critical and commercial success. Red Five went on to produce a diverse slate of films, including Big Bad Wolf, released by 20th Century Fox; The Way Home, an inspirational true story released by Lionsgate, and the supernatural thriller Conjurer, an official selection of the Slamdance Film Festival and was released internationally.
Following the passing of co-founder Clint Hutchison in 2014, Lance Dreesen has continued to carry forward the vision of Red Five — developing and producing a new slate of character-driven films across genres, with a focus on compelling storytelling and meaningful audience connection.
